I've been heavily involved in the strategy and development of enterprise level digital solutions primarily encompassing web and ecommerce for almost two decades. I have an incredible passion for what I do and I am always looking to expand my knowledge further whilst progressing my analytical, strategic and management skills with every new project.
I'm looking for a new, exciting challenge within a vibrant, forward thinking environment where I can offer my knowledge and experience to an existing company who seek to further their own digital ambitions.
My skills are wide and varied so it's important that any opportunity fits well for both parties.
For personal reasons, I'd like to move closer to North Wales and so I am seeking opportunities which are commutable from Wrexham, Chester, Oswestry or Shrewsbury with an ideal journey time of less than 30mins but no more than 40mins.

My passion for computing began at an early age. I coded games and music on my Spectrum 16k pushing the limits of what it could do until my parents were forced to upgrade it to 48k! Ahhhhh the nostalgia.
My university was one of the first in the country to provide Internet access. I embraced it early on and have enjoyed, explored and immersed myself in it's inner workings and closely overseen and scrutinised it's impact on humanity ever since.
Digital Project Management & Technical Architect for ambitious digital agency in Peterborough. I have been instrumental in supporting the business strategically whilst project managing the delivery of over 70 digital projects and supporting the expansion of the business from 4 to 14 people since my arrival.
As a Digital Entrepreneur, I initially built the website myself but as it grew rapidly, I employed many more staff over time to further the international aspects of the business and develop it further. The website has recently been revived and is undergoing renewed international expansion after a long period of stagnation.
Self-employed Digital & Technical Consultant for a number of private companies. I strategically and technically planned and then project managed the development and delivery of some large & complex bespoke websites. I scoped, quoted and managed budgets with various third party suppliers and ensured that all collaboration and communication ran smoothly throughout.
As part of Telecommunications Team (part of I.S). I helped provide support throughout an extremely busy period of pub refurbishment projects. Daily liaison with BT, Quantity Surveyors and Architects to determine the exact telecommunication requirements of a particular site. I then had to project manage and oversee the installation and/or reconfiguration of all on-site Telecom & Data systems.
Primarily involved in a Windows 2000 rollout of some 1500 laptops to field-based Business Managers. Assisted in the finalisation of system build, backup software and install procedures. Installed build onto new machines and provided staff with introductory training on new software & systems of build. In between the various phases of build and rollout, I was also required to diagnose & resolve 3rd level support issues for the 400 or so users present at company headquarters as well as assist in the completion of an internal Windows 2000 rollout. Novell NDS, Active Directory, Exchange, Citrix, Groupwise & Lotus.
Primarily responsible for the continuation and delivery of GG.COM. Strategy, planning & management of the project up until launch on June 9th 2001. Throughout this time I regularly liaised with strategic partners on the delivery of groundbreaking technical solutions. Also regularly involved at boardroom level with business strategy of three separate companies. The GG.COM website was highly commended and received positive industry wide reviews once live resulting in us being approached by some very large betting companies wanting to strike commercial partnerships almost immediately after launching.
Contributed significantly to Blue Triangle business development, & marketing. Devised strategy for Domain Name registration & hosting solutions. However, my employment was primarily related to the complete initiation, project management and delivery of a groundbreaking horse racing/betting portal, namely GG.COM. I implemented the technology on which we developed the project. I was also tasked with sourcing the entire full-time development team required to do this as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Responsible for the complete initiation of a new web development department, later renamed as COBA Internet solutions. From its inception and for a further 3 months, I held sole responsibility for sales, marketing, customer service, web design & implementation and the recruitment of more staff. With more of a Project Manager role, the high calibre team I sourced and led consisted of two others. We pushed the boundaries of development at the time and in many ways, we were way too far ahead of the curve.
You cannot buy or teach real world experience.
I have a lot of interests and ambitions. Not all of them have suitably fitting icons that I can use. However, I love spending time with my son, girlfriend, friends and family and generally trying to keep fit and well. My bucket list continues to grow despite continually ticking many things off.

The company has benefited from incredible year on year growth in both visitor numbers and turnover in part due to the technical support and aggressive development roadmap that I have been proud to oversee. Work is currently underway to further improve conversion with particular focus on the mobile experience.www.ecigarettedirect.co.uk

Project Manager overseeing the conceptual planning and ultimate delivery of a sophisticated and technically challenging dent quotation system for vehicles supported by a carefully considered, highly intuitive mobile friendly online UX. This project was a ground-breaking idea for an existing client that I had been successfully working with for several years and involved an attempt to take PDR (Paintless Dent Removal) to the masses.www.dentquote.co.uk
